WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This role is responsible for the overall performance of the Media websites which deliver all PR digital communications to journalists Globally. This covers all four brands: Jaguar, Range Rover, Defender and Discovery, in addition to Jaguar Racing and Corporate. 

 

Working with the digital agency DRPG, this role is responsible for both the back-end operation of the site, as well as the front-end design and user experience. 

 

The primary objective for the Media websites is to ensure journalists from around the world can view and download press releases, images and videos for all brand and product news. 

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities 

 

  • Control the digital publication platforms for PR digital communication channels and help deliver departmental business goals, i.e. year-on-year traffic growth. 
  • Project management of existing site infrastructure and new digital projects for the PR department. Including creation of SOW (statements of work). Engage in UX / UI (user experience and interface) design and final UAT (user acceptance testing) with vendors for all digital projects.
  • Liaison with external agency project managers & digital developers and internal stakeholders (JLR IT dept.) to ensure digital properties meet company governance standards and sign off processes. Ensure digital channels function as specified and any post-launch technical difficulties are resolved.
  • Set SLAs with media site supplier and manage supplier relationship through weekly meetings for bug tracking and resolution. Advocate on behalf of media site CMS admins on prioritisation of bug fixes, new features etc.
  • Overall control of publication of press releases & assets on the media website issued by the PR department. Work closely with other Comms & PR stakeholders i.e. Product PR, Corporate Comms, Brand & Experience, SV, Classic etc. plus the market PR representatives with a media site presence.
  • Provide media site support for Jaguar, Jaguar Racing, Land Rover and JLR Corporate media sites across all markets with a media site presence. Including JLR Classic & SV. 

     

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Digital content management systems i.e. Drupal
  • Technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • GA4 Google Analytics / Google Search Console
  • Website analytics
  • Flexibility to support launch/reveal events, often on location (UK or abroad)
  • Willingness to work out-of-hours to support product launches and events
  • Monitoring of digital properties 24/7 (especially to support foreign markets and new product launches in different time zones)
