The successful candidate for the above role will transfer to an EPMC contract. i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will be administered on the EPMC grading structure with the associated terms and conditions.

 

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Join our team at JLR as a Manufacturing Process Engineer, where you'll play a pivotal role in our journey towards electrification. As part of our dynamic Current Manufacturing Engineering department, you'll spearhead the integration of cutting-edge electrification technologies into our production processes, shaping the future of automotive manufacturing.

 

As a key member of the process engineering team, you'll lead the charge in introducing new manufacturing products and facilities tailored specifically for electrification. From Battery Packs to Electric Drive Units and beyond, you'll be at the forefront of delivering our next generation of vehicles.

 

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering department, ensuring seamless integration and handover of state-of-the-art facilities. You'll also work hand in hand with Manufacturing Operations teams to optimize production processes, driving efficiency and quality across the board.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

 

  • Develop and implement assembly and test processes tailored for electrification.
  • Drive continuous improvement and design for assembly.
  • Ensure robust process quality planning, including FMEAs and Control Plans
  • Evaluate and integrate manufacturing technologies suited for electrification applications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and support new model planning with an emphasis on electrification.
  • Lead Problem Solving supported by cross functional teams.
  • Achieve Equipment Capability targets for new electrification facilities.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

  • Proficiency in MS Office and strong IT skills.
  • Deep understanding of assembly processes and equipment, particularly in the context of electrification.
  • Proven experience in facility installation, commissioning, and product launch, with a focus on electrification.
  • Fluent in interpreting Electrical and Mechanical drawings as well as 2D and 3D CAD packages.
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing engineering principles with a knack for analysing engineering drawings.
