A great opportunity has for an Engineering Workshop Manager has come up for a client of mine in the Preston area.
My client, a large transport company with a sizable depot in the Preston area are looking to recruit a skilled Engineering Workshop Manager on a full time basis.
The Engineering Workshop Manager will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and the role primarily focuses on:
- Work with the Training function to ensure that engineering teams are competently trained
- Manage the Depot Maintenance, Cleaning and Servicing teams
- Health, Safety and Environmental responsibility
- Conduct any disciplinary, grievance or absence management reviews in accordance with Company policy
- Ensure a comprehensive hand over and coordination across shifts.
The successful Engineering Workshop Manager must have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Engineering background
- Knowledge of employment, safety, and Environmental legislation. a professional qualification would be desirable or equivalent company recognised qualification.
The role will require the successful candidate to attend regular face to face review meetings, so a professional manner, can-do attitude and good communication skills are a must.
