The Graduate Commercial Business pathway is focused on our commercialization strategy – planning, optimizing, and growing our business. During the graduate program, you’ll get the opportunity to undertake missions to broaden your experience and feed your curiosity and the chance to undertake three eight-month rotations across the following areas:

 

Digital Transformation

JLR is reimagining the modern luxury vehicle shopping journey in order to provide our clients with a seamless, transparent and omni-channel shopping experience. The Digital Transformation rotation will provide cross-functional exposure to each department within the JLR Canada business, including Sales, Finance, Marketing, Training, and Customer Service. In collaboration with JLR stakeholders and agency partners, you will support the development, prioritization and management of the project roadmap to deliver the new omni-channel shopping experience. As a Project Manager, you will ensure that appropriate stakeholders are engaged at all necessary touchpoints, in order to deliver against each milestone in the project roadmap.

 

Retail Marketing

The Retail Marketing rotation will provide hands-on experience in consulting with retailers to develop effective marketing strategies that are tailored to their market. This role will support the development of high-quality, on-brand advertising assets to support Tier 2 and Tier 3 advertising activities that directly result in increased demand. A key goal for this position will be to work with the Regional Performance Managers and leverage their support to ensure each retailer has a robust and integrated marketing plan that best complements Tier 1 and 2 marketing plans.

 

The person in this role will also assist in building a best-in-class Tier 3 website presence under our new Go To Market Strategy (MLPX), Modern Luxury and House of Brands.  This involves researching competitive platforms both in the automotive sector and the overall luxury space-specific navigation and display strategies and documenting key insights.   They will also work to ensure a consistent look and feel across all providers and in sync with our Tier 1 DX platform.  Additionally, they will work with our Tier 3 website providers to help roll out key aspects of our revised templates.  Through this project, this person will contribute to the team's creative capabilities and gain practical experience in direct to the consumer website design.

 

Network Development

The Network Development & Training department is more of a short and long term strategic team which oversees the following areas:  Retail Network Performance including financial, Retailer Operations with Corporate Identity and Compliance, and Retailer Network Training including Non-Technical and Technical staff at the JLR Centres. You will learn and work on Retailer Agreement documentation and filing to new online platform, Retailer Performance Reporting with market analysis, and Retailer Compliance with Modern Luxury changes and Standards program. 

 

Customer Service

The Customer Service department consists of the following functions: Commercial Revenue & Customer Satisfaction, Parts Logistics, and Technical Services. Our mission is to ensure that our clients have an exceptional experience with their products and our retailer network in Canada. You will work with the team on programs that drive commercial revenue, understand customer case resolution, and comparing JLR Canada service offerings against comparable OEMSs across Canada

 

Sales Operations

This department is responsible for the following areas:  Sales Operations & Incentives, Sales Planning, Port Operations & Logistics, Distribution, Certified Pre-Owned Sales and Remarketing Activities, and Retail Performance.  You will learn and work on retailer support, industry analysis, vehicle volume planning, vehicle allocation, and vehicle logistics.

Perform other duties as required.

 

What you will need:

  • Graduated university within the last 3 years
  • Interest in the automotive industry
  • Prior project management or internship preferred
  • Keeps up with fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven, strong work ethic, and go-getter attitude
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Possesses good analytical and written/verbal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Must have strong business acumen, and the ability to work with people at varying levels with the organization and network

 

 

Schedule:  Hybrid Ways of Working (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday - office days; Wednesday and Friday - choice days)

Salary - $65,000
