Product Planning Specialist

This executive will collaborate with cross-functional teams for developing products related to features, pricing, marketing strategies, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Improvement:

  • Planning, support and follow-up deliveries of regular meetings with company executives.

  • Develop presentation materials that support improvement in department work processes, research procedures, administrative procedures, etc.

  • Gathers and analyses data to support CCL proposals for process improvement.

New Technology Demonstration:

  • Support and participate in introduction of prototype and aftermarket equipment to RPM groups.

  • Prepares materials for new cross carline proposal for feature adoption to Regional Product Manager.

Nomenclature Guide:

  • Support management and coordinates activities to update and maintain Nissan’s official Nomenclature Guide. 

Sales Reports for New Features:

  • Analyze sales reports on new technology, support strategy creation for new features implementation.

Line-up consistency:

  • Checks for adequate feature consistency across the line-up. Supports management in negotiation and discussion with RPMs as needed.

  • Gathers and Analyzes data to support synergy strategies across America region, bringing additional profit on the top of vehicle COP.

Value Table:

  • Assists in the yearly value table review to provide the RPMs with accurate market values for each segment based on robust Market Research.

Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Help develop and implement corporate and product strategies related to section responsibilities.

Regulatory Tracking:

  • Maintain the tracking report for regulatory changes.

  • Work with management to ensure RPM’s implementation of countermeasures to comply with regulations.

Analysis:

  • Utilize several proprietary modeling tools to support strategic decision making.

  • Analyze industry trends, automotive and consumer technology, comfort, design interfaces and report to management.

  • Strong analytical skills using resources: Mtab, JATO, Urban Science.

Research Support:

  • Support Pricing, Market Intelligence, etc. as needed for value research activities and other activities.

Training:

  • Stay up to date on industry related information, software and research skills. Understand department objectives and mission and product objectives and strategies.

Ad Hoc Support:

  • Provide product support to other groups within ProdT, NMEX/NLAC and affiliates as directed to support overall department and corporate priorities for profit achievement.

  • Follow direction from management, analyze consumer, market, and competitive data.

_Minimum Requirements_

Education:
Bachelor’s degree on Engineering, Marketing, Administration o related field.
 

Previous Work Experience:

  • 2- or 3-years of experience in product planning, preferably within the automotive industry.

  • Familiarity with market research methodologies and tools.

  • Experience working in projects collaborating with various teams (cross functional / cross cultural).

Language: Advanced Level of English.

Capable of traveling approximately:

  • 10% for national and international trips.

  • Have passport and visa.

  • Quick learning and analytical skills.

  • Project management.

  • Presentation skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft office (advanced Excel, power point, Word).
