Senior Analyst, Risk Management

We’re currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Risk Management to join our team in Franklin, TN.

Job Functions

  • Supports Managers, Risk Management to identify and assess financial and hazard risks in a highly dynamic environment.  Supports implementation of risk management and insurance program structures to efficiently mitigate risk through combination of risk control, risk finance, and insurance.

  • Leads select local, regional and/or global insurance programs, including enhancement of coverage terms and conditions while managing total cost of risk and ensuring budget achievement.  Leads renewal process of select programs, program design and negotiations with insurers and related service providers.   Responsible for program administration, claims, loss control activities, and associated relationships. 

  • Works as part of team to execute efficient risk management processes. Works closely with risk management teams to identify and execute insurance program consolidations and coverage enhancements.

  • Measures and audits performance of insurers, third party claim administrators, and brokers to ensure compliance with Nissan standards and industry best practices (including claim reviews, audits, etc.)

  • Identifies key risk metrics and reporting and deploys to appropriate management to support business decisions.  Uses data to evaluate risk management performance, drive improvements, and drive change where appropriate. (Actuarial, loss trends/forecasting, etc.)

  • Performs financial analysis including trend analysis, advanced cash flow, and other analyses using internal and external risk management information systems.

  • Reviews and analyzes supplier and other contracts and makes recommendations for insurance requirements to ensure consistency and adherence to company policies, standards and best practice in Risk Management.  Initiates change and negotiates directly with vendors and Nissan internal customers.

  • Develops professional relationships for the benefit of Nissan with administrators, brokers, insurers and senior management.

  • As necessary, performs other related duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of property & casualty insurance.  Understanding of self-insurance mechanisms, including reserving practices and captive insurance companies.

  • Understanding of risk management best practices.

  • Ability to develop and foster strategic relationships, working collaboratively and in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive negotiations to favorable results with and without brokers. 

Experience/Education:
5+ years of progressive risk management experience or related field. Bachelor’s Degree in related field, ARM or CPCU preferred.

Computer Skills:
Strong Microsoft Office Suite ability.  Advance Microsoft Excel user.  Familiarity with RMIS applications.
