At NTCE we partner with the business to deliver our people strategies in line with our business strategy and current legislation. This role is responsible for partnering with NTCE non-R&D functions on local level, Total Customer Satisfaction AMIEO (TCS AMIEO) and Purchasing AMIEO on the functional level. The Business Partner works closely with the leaders in the organisation to deliver results, and is a trusted advisor on all people items.

This position will be based in Cranfield, Nissan Technical Centre Europe.

  

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

On functional level for TCS AMIEO and Purchasing AMIEO:

  • Lead the headcount and labour cost budget setting and forecasting process for functional scope throughout the year, liaising with relevant stakeholders to coordinate submissions (SWP, AMIEO, Business);

  • Coordinate the TCS and Purchasing scope in relation to headcount monitoring and reporting; providing updates to AMIEO and NML teams;

  • Manage the performance calibration process for EVP-5s and below; challenging where required to ensure performance is managed consistently and effectively;

  • Manage the annual Global Employee Survey (GES) process for TCS and Purchasing; including mapping (where needed), roll out and analysis, working with the function to drive their action plans and results that can be measured in the next survey;

  • Lead the annual TCS and Purchasing LNAC process; collating and challenging succession plans for EVP-4 and below, 3B action plans, HPP & EHPP nominations, EVP-4 potential nominations, Development Centre nominations, support facilitation of the LNAC meetings with the VPs and Directors;

  • Manage the regular talent activity for the functions including completion of 3B action plans.

On functional level for TCS and Purchasing and local level for other NTCE non-R&D functions:

  • Lead the Cranfield site appraisal process including preparation, communications and follow up actions where required;

  • Support with interviews for current vacancies as required and support with Graduate, IP & Apprentice recruitment and validation process, in conjunction with the local CoE team;

  • Drive a level of self-sufficiency within the function through accessible resources and effective coaching and training;

  • Ensure regular communication to the business function on all HR initiatives;

  • Support projects and requirements across the Cranfield site on a needs basis;

  • When required, support with Employee Relations activity for EVP-5s and below, including but not limited to: poor performance, absence, probation, disciplinary, grievance, maternity, paternity, flexible working. Please note ad hoc support for EVP-4 might be required;

  • Any other reasonable requests in line with business requirements.

Skills & Experience

The HR Business Partner should have the following skills or experience:

  • Previous HR experience essential

  • Experience of all aspects of employee relations desirable

  • Knowledge of current employment legislation essential

  • Previous Talent Management experience desirable

  • Workday experience desirable

  • Experience of headcount/labour cost management essential

  • Ability to effectively coach others

    • Ability to multi-task and prioritise

    • High attention to detail

    • Strong collaborator

    • Excellent communication skills

    • Strong team player who also has the ability to work off their own initiative and make decisions

    • Confident and personable approach when dealing with internal and external contacts/customers

    • Advanced user of Microsoft Office

    • Advanced English skills
