R&D Project Management, Engineering Graduate

Our Project Management Department are looking for Engineering Graduates who are passionate about Vehicle Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the electric vehicle (EV) revolution, working on cutting-edge projects that will shape the future of transportation. 

Working for Global automotive company Nissan at its European R&D centre (NTCE) based near Milton Keynes and Cranfield University, you’ll play a key role in our push towards electrification. As a global company there are many potential opportunities to travel and gain experience from the various well-established departments across the world, including of course Japan.

You'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our development program, ensuring we meet ambitious Quality, Cost, and Timing (QCT) targets. 

You'll be responsible for managing project KPIs, keeping a close eye on the vehicle's development status, and communicating progress to senior management. 

Your strong analytical skills will be put to good use as you develop and review engineering proposals and schedules. 

Gain exposure to all areas of the business: This program will take you beyond project management basics. You'll see firsthand how component development, testing, program management, product planning, and manufacturing all work together to bring a vehicle to life. You'll collaborate with experts across the organisation, gaining a holistic understanding of the EV development process. 

You'll be the bridge between R&D engineering sections, sharing information, resolving concerns, and facilitating problem-solving across disciplines.

This is a 2 year graduate program, but it's not about sitting on the sidelines. You'll be a valued member of the team from day one, gaining hands-on experience and working alongside industry experts. We offer a comprehensive training program designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in your engineering career. 

There will be lots of opportunity for learning on the job from our highly skilled and experienced Engineers and the scheme also has training programme, which focuses on supporting you in the transition from university into the workplace and providing the skills and knowledge to help you on your way to moving into an Engineer role after 2 years.   

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Minimum 2:1 Degree in a related Engineering discipline

  • Possesses a strong curiosity about automotive engineering and manufacturing. 

  • Manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously. 

  • Is a team player with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. 

  • Has a strong analytical mind and can interpret and document data effectively. 

  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with project & cost management tools beneficial

  • Hybrid Working Policy 3 days onsite / 2 days WFH

  • Half day Friday
