JOB DESCRIPTION
· Develop commodity strategies, conduct strategic sourcing, and drive strategic actions for defined sub commodities within Adient APAC.
· Meet or exceed profit plan goals related to commodities, including cost savings, economics, quality, supplier rationalization, working capital improvements and other key metrics.
· Maintain and update weekly cost saving roadmaps with monthly reconciliation to actual results.
· Lead Clean Sheet (CS) activities in coordination with costing and engineering to drive a competitive advantage.
· Improve the program profitability through continuous improvement, VA/VE activities and global sourcing.
· Ensure the cost, quality and time-oriented supply of all Adient plants with the required products in line with the respective business plans, budgets, targets and strategies.
· Leverage of purchases across all business units and global programs.
· Support of proper Make vs Buy decisions.
