The Role

The Financial Planning and Analysis Senior Manager supports the global organization to achieve short, medium, and long-term strategic and financial goals. In this role you will serve as a key member of the Global FP&A Team working cross-functionally to support growth and expense optimization, while working with the rest of the global FP&A team to drive consistent approach and processes.  Must have prior experience managing and engaging across all three major financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to be considered.

What You’ll Do

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the forecasting and budgeting of expenses across the organization and drive consistent approach to financial analysis globally.
  • Lead and mentor a team of three, fostering a professional and collaborative environment.
  • Synthesize and communicate key financial and business insights at an executive level.
  • Develop and automate critical financial and KPI analysis to enhance financial insight into business performance and increase understanding of ROI on business initiatives.
  • Continually drive improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy and value-add of the Global FP&A function.
  • Provide financial insights and forecasts across the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Work with business segment leadership analyzing and assessing current and future business and financial risks, opportunities, and requirements.
  • Provide technical direction and/or training to management and other financial personnel.
  • Developing and coordinating monthly business reviews with management.
  • Work cross functionally to drive process improvements and automation.
  • Support the development and improvement of new and existing financial analysis to support the growth of the business.
  • Key contributor in providing analytical support for quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements as well as quarterly investor call and board of directors’ presentations support.
  • Comfortable directing team to provide insight and actionable insight from large data sets.
  • Lead the analysis of results against budget and forecasts to ensure the reasons for variances are fully understood, making recommendations for actions to drive business understanding and improvement.
  • Applying appropriate sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment actions.
  • Lead the preparation of presentations for senior management.

What You’ll Bring

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Mathematics or Business required, MBA, CPA and/or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Five to Ten years of relevant experience.
  • Must have experience managing large data sets. Strong Excel experience is required. SQL and database knowledge a huge plus.
  • Understanding of data analysis and BI reporting.
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills to identify business drivers and summarize key business insights.
  • Strong analytical thought process and critical thinking skills.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Cognos/TM1/Dynamics (preferred but not required).
  • Experience understanding and working across an organization’s Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Ability to analyze and make recommendations on relevant financial issues or trends in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well with ambiguity and able to independently solve problems.
