The Opportunity:

This role will support planning, delivery and co-ordination of specific vehicle projects as a vehicle team Scrum Master and a project manager.



As a Project Manager and a vehicle team Scrum Master, you will be accountable for the delivery of vehicle programme and vehicle team workstreams to agreed time, cost and quality targets. You will lead in creating, maintaining and driving credible plans and establish pre-emptive and effective risk management to avoid issues. You could be dealing with a large cross-functional team across multiple locations and will be responsible for control of programme resources within targets.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT 



As a Project Manager;

  • Lead / support on projects and workstreams; from scoping to delivery, cross-functional engagement and stakeholder management ensuring project delivery to required time, quality and cost targets
  • Management and governance of changes across all EMA top hats including architecture
  • Use wider business experience to guide their own projects and share learning with functional peers across programmes
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job 

 

As a vehicle team Scrum Master;

  • Guiding and coaching team members in self-management and cross-functionality; (Emphasize Importance of Communication)
  • Helping Scrum Team focus on creating high-value product increments that meet the Definition of Done
  • Helping removal of obstacles to Scrum Team’s progress (Managing obstacle board reviews)
  • Ensuring that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive and kept within the timebox
  • Helping stakeholders understand and enact an empirical approach for complex work (from tools and processes usage perspective i.e. change management 1 pager population)
  • Evolving new ways to bridge between business tools & processes and Agile WoW
  • Ensuring top-down and bottom-up sync between product groups and vehicle group for any activity
  • Managing group Product Backlog and ensuring clear and concise Product Backlog items which are linked to stories/features/capabilities
  • Facilitating stakeholder collaboration where necessary
  • Preparation of vehicle team QBR memo in conjunction with SPM, Prog Chief and PGLs

WHAT YOU WILL NEED



Essential :

  • Experience in a programme management role with working knowledge of relevant JLR processes 
  • Demonstrable history of high performance based on end of year assessments
  • Experience leading delivery and integration across PCDS programme lifecycle, employing pre-emptive risk and issue management 
  • Extensive knowledge of change management processes including the process being used in EMA
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity to pilot new business initiatives, whilst utilising existing programme management skills 
  • Strong track record of delivering process development and transformation projects with problem solving skills 
  • Experienced at building effective cross functional relationships with strong stakeholder management skills at all levels
  • Evidence of leadership skills and ability to drive positive business outcomes
  • Knowledge of Agile mentality and Scrum framework
