Engineering Services Coordinator

We are an aspiring organisation, and we are looking for equally bold and creative Outsource & Engineering Services Controller to join our established team. Nissan is positioned to become the most desirable Asian brand in Europe, and we need your help to get there.

Purpose:

We are seeking an Engineering Services Coordinator to be based at Nissan Technical Centre Europe, Cranfield to:

  • Coordinate Engineering Services launch and utilisation in Research & Development Centre in Cranfield
  • Support full process: RFQ, contracts, purchasing system admin, invoicing, cost calculation, schedule
  • Liaise with Purchasing/Legal/Finance departments to prepare and execute Service Management policies and Control
  • Liaise with R&D sections in Cranfield, Suppliers and Purchasing team to prepare and execute work package to outsource
  • Support other outsource activities as required (offshore services, etc.)

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

Engineering Services Launch:

  • Establish standard process to deploy Engineering Services work packages in R&D
  • Consolidate existing items and launch new services with the teams involved
  • Work closely with participating R&D sections, Suppliers, Purchasing, Legal departments

RFQ & Contracts:

  • Coordinate and standardize RFQ process
  • Coordinate Contracts preparation
  • Control compliance: Delegation of Authority (DOA) and policies are respected, etc.

Purchasing System:

  • Full coordination of admin tasks in Purchasing system (creating Requisitions, Orders, Goods Receipting, etc.)

Reporting:

  • Establish effective and transparent reporting and monitoring of R&D Engineering Services
  • Actual vs Plan reporting
  • Support Business Plan/Forecast

Other:

  • Establish IT process for Engineering Services
  • Establish and monitor travel process for Engineering Services
  • External Services quality and non-conformity services
  • Educate business on overall process, compliance items, etc.
  • Manage accrual / actual tracking with Finance and Business Planning
  • Support users
  • Benchmark best practices from other Nissan entities and implement in NTCE UK

Additional:

  • Work Cross-Functionally and Cross-Culturally to ensure best practices are adopted to add value
  • Support processes integration and alignment between UK and Spain Teams to have "One Voice"
  • Recognize issues, problems, or opportunities and determine whether action is needed. Choose the most effective option, establish clear decision criteria and evaluate options by considering implications and consequences.
  • Set high standards of excellence for performance and quality. Seek new opportunities to contribute and take responsibility for results. Make recommendations for future challenges.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Automotive / Engineering / Purchasing related background
  • Experience working in matrix environment
  • Experience working and analysing large amounts of data
  • Experience working with suppliers (contracts, invoices, RFQ, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Power Point, Excel, etc.)
