Manufacturing Manager

We are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Manager for our state of the art, automated manufacturing site in Antrim.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives.

General Responsibilities
• Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all manufacturing operations of production, machinery, processing, and packaging departments
• Develops priorities based on production introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials
• Creates schedules and staffing requirements based on determined priorities
• Manages manufacturing and quality control standards and participates in budget controls and plans
• Manages the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
• Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers

Specific Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role (or equivalent), ideally gained in a high-volume, automated manufacturing environment.
  • Proven management and leadership skills.
  • The ability to interpret, report and act upon large volumes of detailed information.
  • A proven track record of making critical business decisions at a senior level.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Aligning and prioritising absence and resources to maintain operational output and quality.
  • Manage the operations responsibilities of delivering a high-volume output (> 19.0M units/year).
  • Point of contact for operations and reporting on the daily operations meeting
  • Ensuring the low volume high mix production target is met.
  • Integrating the NPD sample process onto scheduled production equipment.
  • Responsibility for health and safety of the site, accidents, emergencies, and evacuations.
