You will be key to manage:
- Achieves Quality, Cost and Deliveries performances of the segment for Valeo sites in his perimeter for serial and project purchasing.
- Chairman of the sourcing committee for Valeo site on his perimeter
- Escalate and request arbitration at appropriate level in case of Sourcing Committee decision not bought or enforced in by Operations or Projects.
- Regulates load capacity and dependency during business award process
- Signs Generic Valeo Requirements File and Logistics Requirements with the suppliers assigned by Group Segment Director.
- Manages suppliers relationship on behalf of Group Segment Director on his perimeter
- Fosters improvement of suppliers performance on his perimeter
- Monitors supplier performance, Negotiates and Monitors Top Worst suppliers improvement plans of his segment on his perimeter
- Leads supplier risk mitigation for the segment on his perimeter
- Ensures respect of ethics and applicable laws with suppliers of his segment
- Maintains strong relationship with Project Buyers to ensure their buy-in of the segment strategy and ensure region or Business Group specifics needs are addressed in the strategy of the segment
- Builds mid term visibility on new business awards and force bundling at earliest project stages
- Prepares and drives annual purchasing budget process for his segment on his perimeter
- Develops aggressive Quality, Cost and Deliveries improvement plan (incl. all levers) and obtains Group Segment Director validation
- Undertake relevant analysis on key performance indicators and set up related improvement plans.
- Maintains updated data bases of purchasing spent and market evolutions of his segment on his perimeter
You must have:
- Experience in purchasing of Equipment and technologies (Stamping, Crimping, Plastic Injection, Brazing, Surface Treatment, Testing and Assembly)
- Knowledge of purchasing operations, process and cost analysis, commercial negotiations;
- Strong experience in building relations with suppliers;
- Very good negotiation and interpersonal skills;
- Fluent English (day to day work in international environment)
- Knowledge of MS Office, SAP will be additional advantage;
- Availability to travel
- Teamwork spirit, ability to cope with stress, result orientation and accuracy with precision is a must.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Engineering Degree
- At least 3 years of experience on a similar position in purchasing area with experience in the purchase of Equipment including the following technologies: Stamping, Crimping, Plastic Injection, Brazing, Surface Treatment, Testing and Assembly
