Position Overview:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking talented individuals to join our team as Systems Integration Engineers based out of the San Antonio, TX area. Qualified candidates will have a broad range of systems engineering experience with the ability to manage projects and work with cross functional teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Execute the design integration work statement and support the program as it transitions to airplane mod focusing on electrical wiring integration

  • Strong communication and organizational skills and lead cross-functional teams through complex design reviews, including presentations/reporting to program leadership

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues that are direct to the successful build of the aircraft.

  • integrates technical parameters, and assures compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture(s)

  • Driving closure of top aircraft technical issues; aligning engineering and production changes in fast-paced environment; evaluating test outcomes with design and build requirements

​ This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering

  • Demonstrated systems engineering experience

  • 1+ years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Applied understanding of aircraft wire categories and wire separation requirements

  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Pay Transparency :

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: $97,750 - $132,250
