Integrated to the Valeo Lighting Systems R&D Electronic Systems Department, the VLS systems engineer is the
reference for the system design, innovation, methodology, tools and product derivative deployments within the product
group.
▪ The R&D Electronic System Engineer is a key player, he has the following tasks:
o Develops the system according to Valeo and A-Spice System Engineering Methodology standards
o Undertakes the system functional tasks on a family of products
o Requirement elicitation with the customer and the stakeholders
o Leads the system architecture choices
o Establishes the detail requirements in the specification at the system and component level
o Ensures the respect of project milestones in respect with Quality, Cost and Delay
o Introduces with the system team the System standardization
o Supports the project team member for System Implementation and keeps a critical eye regarding it
▪ The R&D Electronic Systems Engineer must be confident with the following topics:
o Requirements management
o Modeling and simulation
o Automotive communication networks (CAN/LIN…)
