Commodity Manager for Electrical /Comfort commodities

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Develop and implement commodity strategies for the defined commodity
  • Commodities:  Electrical /Comfort : seat heaters, ventilation, lumbar, suspension mats, massage systems, wire harnesses, switches, sensors… Safety: belt buckles, actuators, airbags…. Others: Bowden cables, flex shafts, Head rest drives….
  • Meet or exceed profit plan goals related to commodities including: cost savings, economics, supplier rationalization, working capital improvements and other key metrics
  • Support implementation of regional commodity strategies
  • Maintain and update cost saving roadmaps
  • Benchmarking and competitive sourcing
  • Conducts cost-breakdown analysis.
  • Support enhanced Sourcing {w /landed costs}
  • Market tests
  • Utilizes RFQ tools and systems to manage supplier negotiations and data, to identify and drive project execution within given Commodity
  • Leads strategic negotiations and review all agreements prior to execution
  • Leads regular Business reviews with Suppliers
  • Supplier pricing negotiation
  • Support accurate and timely reporting of key measurables
  • Support implementation of standardization activities
  • New supplier investigation
  • Support the VAVE (value added engineering) initiative

    Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Supply Chain or related technical field
    • +4 years of purchasing experience in automotive
    • In depth knowledge of the procurement process
    • In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
    • Ability to recognize and respond to expectations with sense of urgency and
    • Ability to cooperate with people of different levels inside/ outside the company and to interact with team to reach team goals and business objectives
    • Ability to gather information, analyze data, prepare and lead negotiations as well as deliver a recommendation, and sense for multitasking
    • Fluent English skills mandatory
    • Relevant SAP knowledge advantage; very good Excel skills
    • Up to 25% travel may be required, driving license B
    • Willing to learn quickly developing new market trends in automotive industry
