Aptiv is currently seeking a Manufacturing Services Category Buyer who will be part of the EMEA Procurement Fulfillment team. This role will work closely with the global category team and principals to support strategic procurement requirements of up to $250,000. USD. Key responsibilities will include conducting requests for quotations, commercial and contractual negotiations for Services,  execution of category strategy for threshold items and generating savings in the Services category. The successful candidate will need to have a strong konowledge of the plant's procurement and services process.

Your Role:

  • Lead sourcing activities related to the acquisition of Plant Services: sorting and engineering services 

  • Negotiating service contracts while ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements.

  • Conducting RFx activities

  • Resolving third party issues reported by the company or by third parties themselves

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in sourcing services/procurement

  • Good negotiation skills

  • Good knowledge of services, sorting and alterations, benefits, contracts.

  • Strong relationship and communication skills that can be applied to working with partners throughout the contract life-cycle

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic matrix environment Strong organizational skills

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills

  • Highly motivated and driven

Nice to have:

  • 2 year+ experience in managing Services category

  • Business Degree or equivalent

This is 12 months contract through an external agency.
