Application Manager for Flying Parts Purchasing

Job Description:

A vacancy for an Application manager in the IM Product and Service Line Procurement / Flying Parts Purchasing has arisen within Airbus Commercial. You will join the Information Management (IM) organization at Airbus in the Domain IM for Operation (Aircraft Manufacturing).

Under D organization, you will work within the Procurement Product Service Line for Flying Parts Purchasing product. Flying Parts Purchasing product is responsible to deliver, maintain, support IM landscape & Digital solutions to ensure the ordering and collaboration processes with our suppliers for the flying parts.

It includes Ordering and Buyer Furnished Equipments solutions, AirSupply and supplier collaboration, Skywise for Suppliers and Supply Material analytics and reporting.

You will report functionally & hierarchically to the Control supplier product leader DOPO.

Your challenges:

  • Accountable for the End to End Application or Service lifecycle, from conception, design, industrialization, operation to retirement including management of dependencies. 

  • Responsible for Multi Functional Teams formation in order to manage the IT Application or Service lifecycle

  • Identify opportunities and create a service that satisfies the client/end user including Time, Quality and Cost of the solution.

  • Subcontractor relationship management

 

The main responsibilities and activities on this position are:

  • Leads the IT Application(s) or Service MFT team in order to manage the IT Application(s) or Service lifecycle, both developing the products/services and operating them to meet operational SLA's

  • Responsible for Continuous Release Management

  • Ensures the participation of an End User Advocate with understanding of users and use, and a ensures solutions that best serves both

  • Ensures that the known Application or Service vision is translated into a prioritized backlog in alignment with the business product owner

  • Supports the end-users for services in operation,

  • Defines chargeback models for their respective IT Application(s) or Services

  • Defines and go-to-market of the product and service (line)

 

Your boarding pass:

 

  • Min years of professional experience : 5 years

  • You have the following soft skills

    • You are Customer Oriented

    • You have experience in Managing transnational and trans-domain initiatives

    • You have experience in agile methodology and ideally SAFe

    • You know how to involve and engage others

    • English: Advanced level as you will work in an international context

    • Would be a plus: understanding of Airbus Procurement organization & people network 

  • You have the following technical skills:

    • Project Management

    • Information System Security Management

    • IT & Business Strategy Alignment

    • IT Architecture: Design IT Product

    • Good knowledge in both functional and technical domain of SAP, in particular module MM

    • Excellent spec writing documentation

    • Knowledge of support processes, ITIL

  • Functional skills and experience in following domains would be a plus

    • Procurement (Direct Ordering)

    • Supply Chain
