Mission and objectives

Key responsibilities of the job are to support Total Rewards CoE activities across the AMIEO region, and key KPIs, which may include any project responsibilities and the extent of inter-departmental collaboration where applicable. The role encompasses direct management of 2 team members. Key stakeholders of the role are Region HR Business Partners and HR Managers of local entities.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Annual Compensation activities: Manage cyclical Compensation activities including Merit planning process, Variable Compensation process, salary benchmarking,  Long Term Incentive award and other compensation processes

Total Rewards Strategy: Support design and management of Total Rewards’ compensation strategy for AMIEO Region that is competitive, in compliance with local regulations, and ensure employee engagement, retention, cost effectiveness and responsive to market trends.

Compensation Policy & Governance: Support the Total Rewards COE to pursue consistent AMIEO Total Rewards governance, policy, processes and procedures across the region while balancing the need for local requirements. Participate actively into PDCA process in order to ensure continuous process improvement.

Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work in close collaboration with Regional Benefits, Mobility COE and Digital HR. This includes collaboration on projects including deferred benefits (pension/provident plans, savings plans, etc), healthcare, life and disability insurance, paid time off, profit share, mobility benefits, and local fringe benefits.

Job Evaluation: Ensure all jobs are assessed in accordance with Nissan job evaluation methodology, internal grading, hierarchy and organizational practices and be able to provide expertise on Job grades for internal stakeholders.

Executive Offers: Responsible to develop individual Executive compensation package proposals and for coordinating their Global approval.

Compensation Benchmarking: Guide team members to conduct and analyse periodic compensation external surveys to gauge competitiveness, and propose changes in cash compensation, bonuses / performance-based incentive program reviews, etc.

Projects: Support entity level compensation study and analysis that might complement Management meetings and Compensation decisions on ad-hoc basis. Conduct internal & external benchmark related to Total Rewards area.

Compliance and Reporting: Stay up to date with relevant legislation and regulatory changes related to compensation in AMIEO region. Manage development of annual Pay Equity studies and reports.

Background & Experience

  • University degree, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. accounting, finance, analytics or business administration )
  • Member of a professional, recognised HR/ Total Rewards body (good to have)
  • Minimum 5-6 years of experience in Total Rewards role
  • Experience within complex, international corporate organisations preferred
  • Experience in a regional Centre of Expertise (CoE) role would be an added advantage
