About the role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Training Manager to join our team! You will facilitate the alignment of the Lotus Retail Academy training strategy for North, Central and South America.

This new position offers the opportunity to work alongside the Head of the Retail Academy to ensure that global commercial and technical training programmes meet the localised demands of the USA markets.

You will work to understand current programmes to be able to design and create engaging content that can support aspirational growth and cultural change for the North, Central and South America Lotus networks whilst ensuring that customers are placed at the heart of everything we do.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Adapt global content to meet the needs of the USA network.
  • Identifying training opportunities within the network, identifying the problem, develop appropriate solutions and implement content to meet different learning styles in collaboration with the Commercial and Technical Programme Managers.
  • Create and storyboard the layout of the instructional material, liaising with SME’s.
  • Create content with a blended approach using audio, video and interactive eLearning.
  • Work with key stakeholders to create and design eLearning content that meets the requirements of the Retail Academy Strategy being a key contributor to the design and build of the commercial, leadership and technical Learning programmes.
  • Working with the Commercial and Technical Programme Manager to ensure we equip the global network with the skills needed to achieve advantageous KPI’s as the position of the Lotus brand is elevated within the global, automotive sector.
  • Develop high quality eLearning content using various methodologies, resources and tools. Data analysis and ROI of learning solutions delivered.
  • Support the Commercial and Technical Programme Manager in the delivery of the Global training strategy including learning, talent and cultural interventions.
  • Track and monitor retailer attendance in required training courses.
  • Ensure all retailer employees are registered for training platform, and drive attendance in required courses.
  • Management of reporting linked to training.
  • Management of retail training costs.

Knowledge, skills and experience

You will be comfortable with the full end-to-end process of the design journey and be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning using a blended approach that is both culturally and regionally fit for purpose.

You will work with the Commercial and Technical Programme Manager and SME’s in order to design content that meets the needs of our diverse dealers. This role requires the ability to use SME’s effectively to establish key learning objectives and ensure these are successfully addressed via the content and delivery method covering the full end to end design journey.

You will have experience of dealing with SME’s to create storyboards and design content, knowing what strategies work best to present material that fulfils the objective.

Knowledge

  • Educated to Degree level, with a professional qualification in Learning & Development ideal.
  • Automotive experience is advantageous.
  • OEM experience is desirable.
  • Able to build relationships with and influence stakeholders to present ideas that can be incorporated into the commercial and leadership programmes.
  • Well versed in the application of learning theories, tools and techniques.
  • Well versed in the use and application of various design programmes displaying high technical ability.
  • Must have designed and delivered the end-to-end journey of eLearning content.
  • Must have experience of using a Learning Experience Platform.
  • Excellent excel skills.
