Steer automotive Group is a rapidly expanding automotive repair business, dedicated to providing exceptional service and craftsmanship to our clients. As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our finance team and support our day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Ledger Duties: Assist with processing invoices, matching purchase orders, and reconciling supplier statements.

Assisting with Monthly Payment Reconciliations: Aid in reconciling payments made against invoices and resolving discrepancies.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Maintenance & Analysis: Help maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and customer payment tracking.

Assisting with Month End Processes: Support the finance team in preparing month-end reports and statements.

Sales Ledger Duties: Assist with invoicing, credit control, and maintaining customer accounts.

Ad Hoc Tasks and Project Work: Take on various tasks and projects as assigned by the finance manager, contributing to the team's overall success.

Admin Duties Where Required: Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and general office tasks.

Posting Transactions to Autoflow & NetSuite: Utilize our accounting software platforms to accurately record and track financial transactions.

Requirements:

  • A keen interest in pursuing a career in finance and accounting.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or finance role is advantageous but not essential.
