Technical Accountant

The Technical Accountant is responsible for ensuring that all transactions are accounted for in accordance with GAAP. The Technical Accountant plays a key role in month-end and quarter-end reporting, as well as audit activity completed by our external auditors throughout the year. The Technical Accountant will perform duties as part of the month-end consolidation process, technical accounting, SEC reporting, and stock compensation administration.

The Technical Accountant reports to the Technical Accounting Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of all top side adjustments recorded to reflect GAAP financial results and the monthly production of the GAAP financial reporting package including the balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement and various financial metrics.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting package and preparation of external reporting documents including the 10-Q, 10-K, press release and investor relations materials.
  • Assist in preparation of recurring financials for lenders, including covenant and borrowing base calculations.
  • Assist in preparation of acquisition and divestiture accounting, including:
    • Reconciliation and posting of closing workbooks.
    • Fair value analysis of assets and liabilities acquired.
    • Calculation of franchise value and goodwill.
  • Prepare and submit required census reports.
  • Assist in various technical accounting projects as required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or equivalent experience
