Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Strategy and Operations First Line Leader (FLL) (Level K) to join the Supply Chain Stability organization in Everett, Washington or Charleston, South Carolina on first shift.

For decades, Boeing has cultivated and invested in several global supply chain regions. In recent years, Boeing has begun to build its supply chain engagement more strategically as it strives to address some nations’ aspirations in the aerospace sector. Globally, we see opportunities to expand our engagement and build our local presence while addressing industrial, services and sustainment opportunities. While these near-term opportunities are compelling, we are certain that there will be other ways our supply base regions will contribute to Boeing’s future competitiveness and success as we further articulate our vision for Boeing’s global supply chain presence.

As a Strategy and Operations FLL you will join a high visibility team hyper focused on forward looking global supply chain stability strategies and initiatives. The team’s intent is to work with all stakeholders, internal and external to Boeing, proactively develop and communicate country/regional analysis and global supply chain stability recommendations. This may entail detailed research, strategy development and proposed recommendations. In addition, complex project management of the selected recommendations will be required.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Country Vision:  Leading a team working with internal stakeholders: Strategy, Government Operations (Gov Ops), Operations, Engineering, Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T), Global Field Operations (GFO), Sourcing, Category Management, and external stakeholders, to articulate an aspirational vision for Boeing’s operations in key countries. This must be based upon a deep understanding the of region’s technical and manufacturing capabilities, educational opportunities, needs and aspirations, and how these add unique value to Boeing’s global supply base and business units. Successful candidate will lead teams and strategies to develop, propose, gain alignment and execute integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business strategies, goals, and objectives.

Country Plan:  Working with internal stakeholders: Strategy, Gov Ops, Operations, Engineering, BR&T, GFO, Sourcing, Category Management, and external stakeholders, to develop, propose, maintain, and execute complex plans for key country/region strategies to meet near-term and long-term objectives.

Supply Base Portfolio: Lead and motivate a team who collaborates with suppliers, industry, and government agencies in each region to leverage strategic partners to unearth and capture opportunities aligned with Boeing’s Country Vision and Plan. Lead and integrate efforts to define strategy at all levels. Develop and execute complex operational plans cross functionally

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in collecting, organizing, synthesizing and analyzing data (e.g. financial, market, customer, competitor, economic and technology analysis) 

  • 5+ years of experience in project supporting, leading, and delegation of the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle

  • 5+ years of experience in solving problems and generating alternatives

  • 5+ years leading and motivating diverse teams

  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience building and using industry knowledge for planning and performance accomplishment- including knowledge of competition and strategic partners

  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, strategic sourcing and/or Category Management practices and processes

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range – Everett, Washington:  $119,000 - $161,000

Summary pay range – Charleston, South Carolina:  $111,350 - $150,650
