You will do

You will be involved in all phases of product life cycle, starting with suppliers’ strategy, sourcing activities, like supplier selection process and evaluation of their manufacturing process flow and layout. During the project phase we work closely with R&D to meet program milestones. We lead Quality assurance activities to ensure that suppliers have capable manufacturing process to deliver products at required quality and capacity. In running production we ensure continuous development and improvement to meet Volvo Cars standards.

Your responsibility:

  • Collaborate on Product Strategy within the category team.
  • Assessment and evaluation of potential suppliers, using Volvo Cars tools and methods.
  • Validate supplier status, using APQP process in all program phases, leading to completion of quality and capacity requirements.
  • Part approval process and successful launch using PPAP procedure.
  • Continuous improvement with suppliers during serial production.
  • Problem solving during industrialization and running production phase.
  • Change management.
  • Manage issue resolution for critical supplier, during sourcing, industrialization and running production phases.

Do you fit the profile?We are looking for a person with experience from quality assurance of supplier manufacturing processes and/or manufacturing engineering background. You have strong drive, pro-active mindset and sense of urgency to resolve disturbances caused by suppliers.

To succeed in this role, you have a Business or Technical University degree (or equivalent).

xperience from Quality and/or Manufacturing work (3+ year) including Supplier Quality performance assurance. Experience within manufacturing processes is beneficial.
