Procurement Sustainability Team Leader

Job Description:

We are launching a new position for the Procurement Team at Airbus Portugal GBS!

 Responsibilities - your mission 

 

In full adherence with Airbus Sustainability principles & ambition to embed all dimensions of sustainability (Environment, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Product Safety & Integrity) with an end-to-end vision (i.e Airbus own operations, Airbus Products in operation and Supply Chain), PYT is leading the Sustainable Supply Chain Roadmap (SCCR):

  • driving appropriate projects/initiatives to support the Procurement Sustainability priorities,

  • involving & supporting all Divisions & Procurement Commodities, 

  • interfacing with the relevant Airbus organizations (e.g. Airbus Sustainability & Environment, Environment Health & Safety Governance & Expertise, Ethics & Compliance Business Programmes) and external bodies (e.g. IAEG, GIFAS, etc.)

 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the implementation of our SSCR and associated projects providing relevant guidance for ensuring conformity & compliance to sustainable obligations in all its different dimensions (Human Rights, Environment, Health & Safety and Product/Services Safety) → the job owner will lead specific topics / projects,

  • Ensure the Portugal Sustainability local team leader role providing appropriate support, advises, prioritisation, team sharing and being the relay to the Functional Leaders locally, 

  • Contribute and advice on specific communication to Airbus management, procurement population and external stakeholders,

  • Contribute to specific reportings,

  • Support the PYT Department in any other related activities as required

 

Lead specific activities supporting the procurement Sustainability ambition which could be : 

  • Specific procurement projects/initiatives, work-packages on Airbus Sustainability projects, Specific Task Force supporting sustainability alerts & risk management, 

  • Provide permanent guidance, advise and support to Airbus Portugal procurement employees working on Sustainability topics: ad-hoc support, awareness, communication, etc.

  • Develop and coordinate a sustainability network,

  • Evaluate, assess & report performance.

  • Anticipate, monitor risks & put in place corrective & improvement actions,

  • Support the team or the management in case of specific issues and/or in cases of infringement.

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have 

  • At least 5 years experience (or educational background) through a leading position on Sustainability topics, which led you acquiring excellent knowledge on all Sustainability dimensions,

  • Experience in people management,

  • Experience in Procurement will be a strong advantage,

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills,

  • Leadership to promote the Airbus sustainability approach internally and externally,

  • Team player, proactive and supportive

  • Language skills: Fluent in English
