Mission

▪ Describe the principal mission of the position
Power Electronics Component Engineer in automotive environment, especially for Inverters (Motor Control), OBC
and DC/DC Converters for Hybrid & Pluggable Electric Vehicle.
The role is to analyse PPAP, discuss with supplier and give an advice about the qualification status

Responsibilities

▪ Highlight the main responsibilities
● Should have good knowledge on how to create a Production part approval process (PPAP) document for
new suppliers.
● Create an Approved supplier sheet (APSS) by interacting with the supplier.
● Sharing the APSS to the supplier and collecting the 3 level PPAP from the supplier.
● Should know how to create and collect part submission warrants (PSW) from suppliers.
● To collaborate with suppliers and purchasing teams to get state of the art and competitive components.
● Ensure whether the PPAP from the supplier is meeting our Valeo specification requirement as per valeo
PPAP review template.
● Prioritise the supplier to complete the PPAP process.
● Updating the status of the PPAP in the supplier list qualification follow up.
● Interacting with suppliers to incorporate the latest changes in the PPAP.
● Should have good knowledge on automotive electronic components.
● Involvement in the part quality process (PQP).
● To contribute to the definition and the improvement of standard documents linked to  supplier selection,
electronics components qualification and usage
● Connected to Valeo technology and process network, ensure the skills transmission in his network
through the enrichment of the electronic standard database.
● Supports for components specification and selection

Education/Training
▪ What education and education level are necessary for the position?
BE/ ME / MTech /MS in Power Electronics from a reputed Institute
Professional Experience

▪ How many years of professional experience in a specific professional area are required for the position?
Engineer→ 3-6 years of experience in Power electronics
▪ Technical
Hands on experience in Design, Product Development, Life Cycle Management of Power Electronics Products like UPS, Inverters, SMPS ,
DC-DC), OBC and Battery Charger etc.,
Should have thorough knowledge in Various Switching Topologies like Fly-back, Forward, Half Bridge, Full Bridge etc.,
Should have thorough knowledge about Power Electronic Devices like, BJTs, Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, Scotty Diodes, etc.,
Good Knowledge about Analog and Power Circuit design, MOSFET Drive circuits, Control ICs, magnetics and other Passive Devices etc.,
Good Knowledge about EMI/EMC concepts and Design Techniques, in Power electronics and High speed digital circuits.
Should have knowledge about various EMI/EMC / Safety compliance standards as per IEC / EN /UL etc.,
Knowledge about Reliability Testing and methods.
Good knowledge and experience in EV Inverter, OBC and DC/DC converter, is an added advantage.
