Mission
- Describe the principal mission of the position
Specify, design and develop electronic boards using requirement specifications coming from Product engineering ; tasks performed are related to electronic hardware metier and must respect methodologies & processes defined within electronic department.
Responsibilities
- Highlight the main responsibilities
Hardware Electronics specification and design
- Write & update electronic technical specification of the product
- Write the Hardware – Software Interface specification with support of Software Desgin Leader
- Participate to selection of electronic components and/or sub-assemblies
- Design the electronic board within cost target
- Simulation critical functional blocks
- Calculation/generation of thermal and worst case analysis documents
- Validate and/or write product specific electronic components specifications
- Participates to Layout specification writing
Write Electronic design justification file
Hardware Electronics Design validation
- Write Design Verification test plans (EMC, Electrical,Environmental & Hardware Acceptance Test Plans) of electronic boards.
- Carry out DV testing including EMC, Electrical, Environmnetal and Hardware Acceptance tests.
- Test mock-ups & prototype boards till automatic test equipements are available
- Perform Hardware – Software integration with Software Design Leader Support
- Participates to Layout reviews
- Participates to product tests, supporting test engineers
- Validates Product specific electronic components validation plans
- Participates to Product Design Validation plan writting
- Specify parts of test means for Design Validation
- Analyze & close defect reports related to electronic design
Production means support
-Write industrial electronic test specifications
-Support manufacturing plan till end of ramp-up phase
Technical data management & methodologies
- Management electronic data configuration (including manufacturing folders) within ePLM tool and manage changes
- Identify risks & opportunities and set-up related action plans
- Participates to product design reviews
- Ensure that development process is consistent with technical standard & processes
-Support Product functional analysis, value analysis & FMEA writing performed by product
- Do the tasks assigned by N+1 from time to time
Education/Training
- What education and education level are necessary for the position?
- Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
Professional Experience
- minimum of 5 years experience in hardware design
- experience in embedded electronic systems
- experience in video signal treatment
