Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Aircraft, Customer Support is currently seeking an Electrical Systems Service Engineer in Rzeszów/Gdańsk/Warsaw, Poland.

This position is a part of a global Customer Support team covering 24/7 to support the entire fleet all around the world. Some shift work is expected in order to cover weekends and/or off-hours. As an example 4d*10h work schedule from Wed-Sat.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with airline customers to address and resolve in-service airplane system issues related to Electrical Systems; power generation, battery technology, power distribution, lighting, EME and wire/equipment

  • Monitors potential in-service risks and issues, and managing appropriate mitigation plans to assure a successful entry into service

  • Verifies all related Customer Support products, including Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) and Fault Isolation Manual (FIM), as well as development and update of Fleet Team Digest (FTD) articles, Service Letters (SL) and Maintenance Tips (MT)

  • Processes reports, which communicate manufacturing issues that originate from the factory and have escaped to the in-service fleet, by coordinating with value stream stakeholders to determine technical resolution and recommend corrective action to the fleet

  • Works on resolving operator issue real-time, including general systems questions, short to medium term Electrical System problem resolution, long term issue description and proactive fleet guidance

  • Coordination over the phone to troubleshoot an airplane halfway around the world, to being on on-site with the operator to return a grounded airplane back to revenue service, all while utilizing the latest Boeing tools, technology, data analytics, and real time fleet monitoring data

Basic qualifications:

  • 3 years’ work experience with Wire Installation/Wire Design/Equipment installation design work and some experience with the design or troubleshooting of Avionics/Electrical Systems.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Aerospace or other higher technical education for qualification related to the development, manufacturing or operation of electrical/electronics systems.

  • Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals, principles and methods in system layout development, component design and electrical system installation.

  • Knowledge of normative documentation for the design of electrical system components in aviation.

  • Familiarity with the main principles of data preparation and documentation used in aviation production (FAA, EASA).

  • Ability to qualify the development and design of electrical system equipment architecture.

  • Practical experience in engineering analysis (e.g. electrical, avionics, design, circuit).

  • Ability to summarize results; develop conclusions and recommendations based on relevant data sources.

  • Willingness to travel (c.a. 15% of the time).

  • Knowledge of spoken and written English at B2/C1 level including technical language.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD/CAM) tools and systems (CATIA).

  • Experience in engineering work with Boeing aircraft.

  • Ability to collect, organize, synthesize and analyze data.

  • Ability to work together as a team.

  • Task-oriented.
