We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator  (m/f/d) to join our team and take a pivotal role in managing ORACLE- and/or MS-SQL-Databases operations in Germany. If you have a strong background in databases, project management experience, and expertise with ORACLE and/or MS-SQL, we encourage you to apply.

These challenges await you:

  • Manage ORACLE and/or MS-SQL-Databases operations in Germany.

  • Oversee databases across sites within the ITC team.

  • Lead IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timely and within-scope delivery.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.

  • Handle databases, update processes and analyze for performance bottlenecks.

  • Act as 2nd line support for 1st line databases support (external and internal).

  • Collaborate on database configuration changes for improved performance.

  • Administer databases, including task scheduling, scripting, and user management.

  • Cooperate with DRP teams in order to perform DRPs, DRP tests, test results.

  • Supervising the operation (daily monitoring, status in OMS, log analysis, etc)

  • Perform root cause analysis for database incidents and implement corrective action plans.

  • Implement and manage database version upgrades, patching, and backup policies.

  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity rules and NDA.

You inspire us with that:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • Proven experience in ORACLE and/or MS-SQL operations, specifically on Windows-based servers.

  • Project management experience is a plus

  • ORACLE or MS-SQL certification

  • Familiar with ORACLE licensing models

  • Good written and spoken communication skills in both German (B2 Level Mandatory) and English.

  • Previous experience in the automotive industry is advantageous.
