Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Customer Support Service Specialist to support the Airborne Early Warning and Control System (AWACS) program in Oklahoma City, OK. Candidates will be expected to reside in the local area though telecommuting may be authorized as business allows. There may be domestic and international travel encompassing some off-hour support required to engage with the customers and/or users directly.

This team member will support the AWACS Service Engineering Team. The position purpose is to provide engineering technical support for aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul and preventive measures to ensure continued safe and economic ground and flight operations to meet customer needs. Additionally, apply technical knowledge to research, develop, test and evaluate operations, support programs, modifications, repairs and technical data. Develop in-service correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Collaborate with engineering disciplines to discuss design and operational issues and concerns and influence improvements in product designs and operational criteria, review manufacturing non-conformity data for potential impact to in-service fleet and participate in disabled product on-site surveys to assess extent of damage. Recommend changes to existing test procedures, support execution of test procedures and coordinate resolution of test anomalies to return products to operational status.

The focal will be a member of a high performing, collaborative team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research, analyze engineering drawings and data and collaborate with engineering disciplines to influence corrective actions and/or improvements in aircraft system functionality, product designs, operational criteria and technical directives.

  • Analyze emerging customer requirements and coordinates the development of solutions to ensure product safety, integrity and supportability.

  • Apply technical knowledge of product support/logistics; represent organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects to develop relationships and interact with internal and external employees on matters requiring coordination.

  • Provide engineering technical support for E-3 AWACS aircraft Boresight tests and alignments conducted during planned depot maintenance (PDM) process, as well as any emergent or unplanned required Boresight evolutions.

  • Review customer technical inquiries, conduct research, coordinate and determine a disposition and provide the customer feedback within prescribed timelines.

  • Develop and execute project plans, objectives, priorities, schedules, and acquire and arrange resources to accomplish goals while implementing organizational policies and procedures.

  • Review and coordinate deliverables with Engineering, Program Management and the Data Management (DM) teams as applicable.

  • Attend and conduct meetings to support these activities as required.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in aviation related and aircraft maintenance disciplines

  • Understanding of aircraft systems theory and operation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)

  • Experience working Military derivatives from Commercial Platforms

  • Experience with aircraft and related systems maintenance

  • Experience with aircraft electrical, avionics, and environmental systems

  • Experience interfacing with U.S. Government and/or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers

Typical Education/ Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for associate level: $61,200 - $82,800

Summary pay range for mid-level: $76,500 - $103,500
