WHAT TO EXPECT

 

This role sits within the BEV Propulsion System Integration team. The role will focus on delivering data from tests in support of design release activity or technology advancement.

The main activity for this role is to ensure successful testing of the propulsion system on rigs and prototype vehicles. This includes liaising with the facilities team to properly build and commission rigs; post-processing data coming off the test properties to confirm pass/fail, writing a test report to document the evidence; triaging and resolving issues identified.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead the validation of the Propulsion HW systems integration team
  • Create an optimized DVP to validate the system
  • Lead continuous improvement activities on test and development team
  • Support build and commissioning of prototype rigs to ensure fit-for-purpose and issues are triaged and resolved quickly.
  • Lead problem resolution during tests
  • Support and/or conduct testing of propulsion system test cases.
  • Post-process and analyse test data to confirm pass/fail against technical requirement.
  • Generate test report to document test pass/fail and justification. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED



As the BEV Propulsion Hardware Test & Validation engineer you will need to have knowledge and experience working within an automotive powertrain system engineering environment.



ESSENTIAL

 

  • Understanding of the architecture and function of a BEV propulsion system.
  • Technical expertise and experience of testing a high voltage component or system.
  • Data analysis and reporting of test data.
  • Natural problem-solver with structured approach to problem solving in a technical environment.
  • The ability to validate, prepare and read engineering documents.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, process and Single Point Lesson (SPL) documents.
  • A full UK driving license
