The Role
Position Description:
In this role, you will be part of Solera’s creative team, creating compelling video and animation content for all aspects of the corporate organization and working with multiple stakeholders in various markets globally.  Your content will support Solera hardware and software solutions for internal and external distribution.

What You’ll Do
Major Areas of Responsibility:

Concept and execute the video pre-production process, including writing, storyboarding, talent scouting, location scouting, shot lists, props, and wardrobe.

Execute the video production process on set, including lighting, audio, camera operation, directing, and file-based media management. 

Execute video post-production, including editing rough cuts, color correction, audio mixing, motion graphics, visual effects, file mastering, and archiving.

Concept, collaborate, and create video and animation promos for the Solera websites, social media advertising, and tradeshows.

Dialogue editing of long-format content into shorter segments targeted for specific distribution channels.

Identify projects that are candidates for video case studies.

Work with the marketing team to ensure the completion of digital and video assets on time and maintain consistency with ongoing proposals and marketing efforts.

Track ongoing projects and identify b-roll opportunities to shoot and catalog for future use.

Maintain an asset library of footage from owned and stock libraries. Keep internal databases fresh, relevant, and updated as video content is developed.

Participate in planning digital marketing campaigns that include video and video production to support qualifications, proposals, and presentations.

 

Core Areas of Focus

Content Producer – Pre-Production

Take the creative concept and create the playbook for video production and post-production.

Help organize video shoots, coordinate locations, shooting schedule, etc., which entails working with peoples' availability and organizing efficient production schedules.

Identify critical milestones and the approval process for the project.

 

Content Creator – Production and Post-Production

Execute the playbook created in the pre-production stage

Ensure high-quality video capture during production, including set-up, operation, and breakdown of lighting, cameras, and audio equipment.

Direct on-camera talent to ensure accuracy, quality, and continuity.

Editing Rough cuts, audio mixing, color correction, motion graphics, and output master files for internal (SharePoint) and external (Vimeo/YouTube) approvals.

Continue to develop Solera’s visual effects through 2d animation, particle animation, screen replacements, and green screen background replacements.

 

Content Manager – Post-Production

Managing the master library, managing media sites (Vimeo, YouTube, Frame.io), uploading and managing completed content.

Managing media storage for all hard drives.

Archive video projects and assets in an organized system to ensure a simple unarchiving process to allow quick turnaround of video revision requests.

 

What You’ll Bring
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Bachelor's degree (graphic design, digital design, marketing, or communications) with at least six years of relevant experience.

Creative Reel: Video production, editing, animation, and photography.

A willingness to dive in to get high-level mastery of all products in the four verticals.

Ability to articulate and present creative ideas

Ability to take ownership of all technical and creative aspects of the entire creative process for video, including pre-production, production, post-production, and distribution. 

Possess and create a high sense of urgency and initiative

Organizational and time management skills, multi-tasking, and ability to work independently, self-starter and self-motivated

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Willingness and ability to ask for help, teach, or hand off any page of the playbook you create for Solera.

Must possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Must possess the ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy.

Must have the ability to meet deadlines and can juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams
