WHAT TO EXPECT

 

Do you want to be a part of something special? In this role you will be a part of a team that are changing the way we design battery models by compiling code and providing documentational support to the model versions.

 

This role is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of battery models across the increasing range of JLR’s electrified products for the battery department and for propulsion stakeholders. Reporting to the Battery Energy TS the role requires effective interaction with cross-domain teams to receive, assess and provide status on stakeholder requests from conception, through programme gateways, and programme completion.  

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Support modelling approaches and assist in the delivery of models to stakeholders
  • Provide documentation supporting model version for stakeholders detailing model inputs, quality and performance
  • Support automated delivery through CI/CD pipelines
  • Assist with the decomposition of requirements to the relevant delivery teams and assist in PDS generation with commodity engineers as requested
  • Provide an interface for physical and virtual DV teams and ensure test cases are provided and gateway evidence collated
  • Ensure robust timing plans are in place that achieve program milestones, providing relevant teams with notice to deliver required evidence 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

 

  • Good technical background with experience of system engineering for battery electric vehicles
  • Good knowledge of modelling approaches and toolsets
  • Good knowledge of GitLab and/or DevOps approaches
  • Experience with compiling models (.dll, FMU) 
  • Experience of system level and quality tools DFMEA
  • Excellent communication skills
