Sr Analyst, Credit Risk Strategy

We’re currently looking for a Sr. Analyst, Risk Management to join our team in Dallas, TX.

Position is open to remote candidates.

Develops, monitors, and updates credit scoring models, credit decision automation, dealer spot delivery and pre-approval programs. Derives solutions and makes recommendations relating to portfolio performance, operating efficiencies, and expense control. Assists with strategic development plans required for business efficiencies. Plans and develops respective forecasting models in support of executive guidelines.

  • Develops and maintains dashboards that provide Senior and Executive management with a clear and concise understanding of originations quality, collection segmentation, treatment strategies and performance metrics to help optimize risk management objectives.

  • Participates in creating solutions for originations and collection scoring processes and implements champion/challenger test to identify best strategy for various segments of portfolio and makes recommendations for the use of decision science to improve the effectiveness of NMAC’s risk strategies. 

  • Establishes KRI’s and KPI’s based on risk and business needs and facilitate meetings with leaders to brainstorm and craft test strategies, execute tests, evaluate performance trends, declare champion challengers and oversee associated operational changes or vendor re-assignments.

  • Embodies a learning mindset to develop and demonstrate a mastery of NMAC data, utilizing discipline and advanced query skills to accurately represent factual information and present performance metrics to guide business operations.

  • Acts with curiosity in creating complex analysis, ad hoc research, and reporting related to originations, delinquency, losses, and collection activities. 

  • Lead project or special assignments as required.

  • Communicates with other NMAC departments and third-party vendors to support operations and resolve analytics issues.

Minimum Qualifications
The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.

  • Proficient in SAS or SQL with at least 4 years of experience. Knowledge of credit acquisitions and collection scoring, risk analysis, and reporting. Good understanding of database software applications and analysis.

  • Six or more years of progressive professional level experience in a related field required, including two or more years of risk, credit decisions and/or collection experience.

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree in business, economics or statistics preferred.
