The Supplier Quality Organization represents Raytheon professionally and supports Raytheon’s vision, values, strategy and goals in the supply base. This opportunity is for a temporary position to work improving quality process documentation, updates, and consolidation.  The focus will be on Supplier Quality processes and command media improvements and consolidation.  This position will be working remotely taking direction from Tucson, AZ.

Responsibilities to anticipate:

  • Review all current Supplier Quality Documents

  • Investigate current standard and best practices and industry wide processes and command media.

  • Facilitate working sessions with Subject Matter Experts (SME) and key stake holders to determine process improvements and tools needed.

  • Work with SMEs to re-write current command media.

  • Create business case for any system updates.

  • Manage command media implementation and release process.

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience, university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

  • Knowledge of Quality Processes and standard work gained either through advanced education or work experience.

  • Experience driving continuous product and process improvements using statistical and analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and lean methodologies.

  • Knowledge of aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools - SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, APQP etc.

  • Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes

  • Understanding of commercial and aerospace / defense regulations and standards- AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, AS9145

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Raytheon or defense contractor experience

  • Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers / customers.

  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery.

  • Experience working remotely.

  • General Statistical Process Control knowledge, including implementation

This is a temporary position of undetermined length.

The salary range for this role is $53.85 - $113.46; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training and key skills.
