Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Procurement Field Representative (Level 4) to join the North-East Global Field Operations team in South Burlington, Vermont! This position will require travel within the Vermont area and into parts of New Hampshire.

Global Field Operations (GFO) is the presence of Boeing at its suppliers and sub-tiers, and is responsible for being the integrators, driving communication and resolutions in our supply base. It is the responsibility of Field Representatives to proactively problem-solve and drive overall supplier recovery to ensure delivery and quality compliance.

The primary focus will entail supplier engagement in the region’s area suppliers to drive improved quality and delivery performance.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Manages and measures supplier performance.

  • Evaluates overall supplier health and resources to determine viability.

  • Identifies problems, develops recovery plans and monitors supplier performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements.

  • Evaluates risks and opportunities.

  • Communicates performance to plan.

  • Participates in on-site supplier assessments to identify supplier capability; identifies improvement opportunities to enhance supplier capability.

  • Provides or recommends training and mentoring on business and manufacturing practices to improve or enhance supplier delivery performance.

  • Monitors activities to ensure that suppliers produce conforming and compliant products on time.

  • Monitors emergent offload or overload suppliers and provides support to ensure delivery schedule compliance.

  • Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data. Communicates across functions (to programs, internal business partners, customers, and other stakeholders) to report status and concerns.

  • Supports work movement projects by verifying that the elements of the work plan are credible and complete in order to accomplish a seamless transition. 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services

  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required project management skills

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 5+ year of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action

  • Must have a current valid driver’s license

  • Able and willing to travel 50-75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in lean manufacturing

  • 3+ years of experience working in manufacturing operations

  • 3+ years of airplane systems and interiors knowledge

  • 3+ years of experience with the Boeing production system

  

Typical Education/Experience:

Typically, 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.  

Relocation:

Summary pay range: Location: South Burlington, Vermont: (Senior – Level 4) - $102,250 - $138,550
