ARINC Incorporated d/b/a Collins Aerospace has an opening for a Senior Engineer, Software Engineering in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a hybrid role; must work at the Annapolis, MD office 2-3 days per week, and can work remotely 2-3 days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Conducts and coordinates moderately complex tests for control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
- Conducts multidisciplinary research in assisting equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software to develop software engineering activities.
- Analyzes system capabilities and determines end user needs to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements and input data acquisition to ensure current and future needs of the business are met.
- Ensure hardware and software standards are met.
- Design and implement build procedures that are used to support hardware and software product development and use.
- Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
- Train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the avionics industry. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role in the avionics industry would be acceptable.
- At least 3 years of experience with object-oriented software design and development
- At least 3 years of experience with Python development or similar
- At least 3 years of experience with web application development
- At least 3 years of experience with the complete secure SDLC
