Supervise a staff of contracts professionals across multiple sites responsible for performance of contract administration activities including proposals for new contracts, negotiating contracts, administration of existing contracts, and development and maintenance of warranty administration systems and negotiation of claims and settlements for labor and material costs, and liaison functions with customers.
This role will be performed remotely from any Collins Aerospace location both domestic or remote.
Primary Responsibilities:

Experience managing a team of contracts subordinates that includes level loading of work within the team as well as assisting the team members in meeting their goals

Ensure contracts within the Defense Systems group are loaded correctly into the SAP ERP system for timing and accuracy of sales and shipments to the customer

Ensure the proper flowdown of contracts and the relevant terms throughout the Defense Systems program teams.

Experience in a wide variety of contract types, including cost-reimburseable and fixed price, FAR Part 12 (Commercial Item) and FAR Part 15 (TINA)

Strategizes and leads complex contract negotiations, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure contract execution and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.

Responsible for structuring and administering contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers.

Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing and/or mitigating the risk and impact to the proposal activity.

Utilizes legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed and documented through development of unique contract terms and conditions.

Advises on contractual rights and obligations to protect the organization’s legal and business interests.

Operates in accordance with company policies and complies with accepted business ethics.

Manages medium to large-sized technically complex projects.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:
-
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with U.S. Government contracts and/or subcontracts including FAR/DFARS

Juris Doctorate degree or MBA

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
