Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer assures high enigneering product quality while collaborating with other quality professionals, as well as the systems, software and hardware engineering competencies. The QAE works closely with the systems, software, hardware, IT&V, and project management organizations to assure compliance to the Automotive Software Process Improvement and Capability Evaluation (ASPICE).  This role assures proper sharing, proper collection of lessons learned and monitors quality activities for upcoming sprints and project milestones.

 Your role:

  • Leads quality activities on one or more projects
  • Defines the quality sampling strategy and authors the Quality Assurance Plan
  • Provides mentoring and status reports to project team
  • Performs assigned tasks, audits and tracks non-conformances through resolution to closure
  • Participates in engineering, build, major customer milestone and production release audits and activities, and approves software release approval
  • Leads efforts to root cause software Product Complaint Records in conjunction with associated project team
  • Reports QAE activities and results

Your background:

  • Engineering Degree required in Business or Engineering preferred
  • A deep understanding of systems, software and hardware development, DFMEA/PFMEA, Functional Safety, cybersecurity and working across the enterprise
  • Potential candidates should have automotive background experience
  • Experience leading quality activities and presenting solutions and improvement plans
  • Deep understanding of Quality Systems and industry requirements (IATF 16949, 26262, ASPICE, Advanced APQP)
