Job Summary:

The future of VCCH is coming with the all new XC90! The Launch Team Analyst will be a vital role with expertise in manufacturing preparation and station readiness to secure a perfect process for our team members. Key attributes for success are securing our QDFIPS targets and a perfect launch. The Launch Team Analyst shall be responsible for MP&L activities from inbound monitoring of deliveries to lineside delivery and labelling. The analyst shall also be responsible for in-plant activities related to running changes.

Fundamental Logistics Skills Applicable to Daily Work:

  • 5S Basics - Can recognize, act, and maintain perfect 5S
  • Material handling skills including GR, putaway and replen to line
  • Ability to handle deviations and exceptions within logistics
  • Chimas experience in GR, putaway, LPRODLOCC and A-reports
  • Forklift/Material handling skills
  • Ability to analyse OIS and provide feedback to Plant Supply Chain Engineer
  • Can create training documentation, explain/teach, and verify TM retention
  • Ability to truly problem solve identifying root cause and sustainable solutions
  • Ability to manage change in the warehouse and on the floor with strong communication and follow-up (R/C, Trials)
  • Understanding of the VCCH organization & workflow (ME-IE-SCC/Inbound/Internal Logistics-Prod)

Launch Analyst Specific Skills Applied in Daily Work:

  • Ability to perform Logistics Readiness Audit (Confirm Chimas master data, material flow, incoming ASN & correct supplier labels) for pre-series builds & running change to ensure TM success
  • Develop, Follow, and Improve standardized work for launch processes and procedures
  • Ability to recognize gaps and missing information in PII’s that will cause variation in production
  • Ability to read and understand Project Deliverable / Schedule Management (Table Runner, Build Schedule)
  • Ability create & summarize activity to communicate status of area / clearly provide data on areas that need support in a timely manner
  • High Hurts (safety, quality, operational availability) identification & prioritization
  • Ability to produce transparent documentation for Launch Management Boards

Systems Skills Preferred:

  • BMS (researching best practices, VCMS)
  • CHIMAS (Yard, GC, GR, Inventory, Putway, LPRODLOCC, PROD TO STO)
  • ATACQ (Data gathering and analysis)
  • Sharepoint
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Power BI

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old
High School Diploma/GED
1 Year Volvo Experience as a TL or Launch Member
No Corrective actions in last 12 months
3-5 Years’ Experience in a manufacturing experience
Microsoft Office (Excel, PP, Word)
Must meet physical requirementssuch as lifting and moving up to 50lbs., standing for extended periods, bending, squatting or kneeling
Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship
Must be able to travel up to 4 weeks overseas and work OT (daily, weekends, off shifts) based on project activity needs.Must be at least 18 years old
