Raytheon provides end-to-end space solutions – from ground control systems to on-orbit sensors – to keep our customers informed and ahead of the threat.  Each day, ground stations receive vast amounts of data from satellites in orbit. Using complex algorithms, they process all of the bits and bytes received and turn them into useable information for the end users who consume this data. As the volume of data grows, ground stations need to evolve and adapt.

Position Overview:

As a Ground System Software Engineer, you have the opportunity to directly impact the world around you and contribute to classified programs and technologies you are passionate about. Our small agile teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs. 

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Software Integration Engineer. The candidate select will be working on a team of skilled software engineers who are designing, developing, and maintaining next-generation satellite mission software in Colorado Springs, CO.

Required Skills:

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • 5 years software development experience using Java, C++, Python
  • 5 years integration and test experience
  • Experience with full lifecycle software development
  • Development experience on Linux (RedHat) and Windows
  • Software Integration and test experience with complex Service Oriented Distributed Systems

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
