IT Solutions Delivery Manager, Planning & Direct Procurement

The Application Manager is responsible for managing a staff of application developers and leaders throughout the development and implementation of a designated application. This involves planning, analysis, detailed design, developing/coding, testing and implementation. This may also involve providing enhancements and ongoing support to the deployed service(s).

General Responsibilities
• Manages a team of architects through the process of defining a roadmap, creating a strategy and implementing a solution. This team may include supervisors
• Designs, implements, tests and deploys necessary components using the latest technologies and best practices
• Manages the selection of enterprise middleware platforms and frameworks for building integration assets to optimize for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market
• Establishes programming standards and program documentation requirements
• Reviews the current status of services and prepares recommendations for service improvements
• Manages, defines, and governs middleware & integration architecture standards, tools, best practices, and development methodologies through the end to end life cycle
• Ensures effective enterprise IT infrastructure deployment, and effectively manage consolidation of disparate solutions for reduced technology spend
• Manages proactive technical oversight and mentorship to integration services architecture and development teams fostering re-use, design for scale, stability, and operational efficiency

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Budget Management - Ability to project and present annual operation Expense and Capital budget in departmental budget process

The Planning / Procurement IT Manager is responsible for managing a staff of application business analysts throughout the development and implementation of Planning / Procurement applications.  These applications include tools supporting the Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, and Sales & Operations Planning processes.  Also, included Strategic Sourcing, Supplier and Contract Management, and Direct / ERP Procurement processes.  This role involves leading and coaching Business Analysts through projects including the planning, analysis, detailed design, partnering with development teams, testing, implementation, and transition to support for in scope systems. It will also involve providing enhancements and ongoing problem management for the deployed applications.

  • Experience with ERP systems i.e., SAP, Oracle EBS or Oracle SaaS.
  • Understanding of end-to-end processes i.e., Integrated Business Planning and Source to Pay
  • Experience with Planning tools
  • Experience with AI
