WHAT TO EXPECT

 

As the Lead Engineer, Software Release you will be a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Lead Engineer for software across all platforms. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire software release process, ensuring that software is delivered on time and meets the required quality standards. This position has been developed to lead the integration and interfaces between software domains as we bring new tools and process elements to the business to improve our overall software development transparency.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Ownership of the end to end software release process, from planning through to deployment, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality objectives.
  • Define and maintain release management policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across all software releases.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including domain software development, test platform, quality assurance, Central system integration and project management to coordinate release activities and resolve issues that arise.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive initiatives to streamline and optimise the software release process, leveraging the release integration tools development teams where applicable.
  • Conduct post release reviews to capture lessons learned and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
