JLR is searching for an individual to be a part of that futurist growth. As part of the Manufacturing Operations Controls team, we are looking for a Controls Engineer who has that futurist mindset.
Within the Controls team, you will be ensuring all new production lines are developed to ensure a flawless transition into production.
You will utilise your extensive knowledge of precision, volume manufacturing controls systems to develop training and competence for the maintenance teams.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with and assist Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering (PTME) Controls on new and existing projects at Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EPMC)
- Develop & implement educational/training plans
- Develop & maintain Controls specifications and standards for Powertrain projects
- Provide technical expertise to team problem solving activities to accurately identify root cause and corrective actions
- Design maintenance and controls of plant process controls for Data Networks
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Maintenance Engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Leading and implementing control systems projects
- Siemens 840D Control Systems and Siemens Step 7 PLC’s
- ABB or Kuk robot knowledge
- Sinamics drives
