The Opportunity

 

We are looking for Lead Engineers, to join our transmissions and drivelines quality team, to support immediate project requirements.

Our quality team, within Powertrain Engineering, requires an experienced, deeply inquisitive and investigative engineer to apply world class technical analysis and problem-solving skills into the commodity area. Thus driving further continuous improvement to Jaguar Land Rover's (JLR’s) capability to achieve the highest levels of reliability, robustness and overall customer satisfaction.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

 

•    Technical analysis of customer issues using appropriate diagnostics tools

•    Leadership of cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve system levels issues

•    Engineering problem solving to establish robust root cause of issues within transmission and driveline systems

•    Support delivery and progress of 8D problem solving process from issue definition to resolution

•    Driving common approaches for tools, analysis techniques, processes and reports in order to improve the commodity quality teams efficiencies

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience

•    6-Sigma certification (yellow-master black belt) or relevant

•    Experience of applying a Scientific / logical approach to problem solving using the appropriate methodology, e.g., 8D & 6-Sigma DMAIC

•    Knowledge of powertrain components and system integration

•    Data analysis and interpretation with the ability to drive analysis direction
