Introduction to the role
As we continue to grow our business from strength to strength, we are currently looking for an ICE Technical Competence & Vehicle Quality
Expert to join our team. A strong individual who shares the same enthusiasm and passion as we do. As the ICE Technical Competence & Vehicle
Quality Expert, you'll play a key role in ensuring top-notch technical competence and vehicle quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
• Leading vehicle field quality, product liability and ICE/Classic diagnostic/repair support as an expert for Porsche Middle
East, Africa and India (PME) as region with 18 markets: Leading proactive identification of product quality issues and
handling product liability cases. Expert in diagnosing and repairing ICE vehicles and Classic Porsche cars for Porsche
markets in the Middle East, Africa, and India. Ensuring successful model launches of new Porsche vehicles with specialized
support structures and securing repair and service capabilities for customers.
• ICE Technical Competence Lead PME, overseeing market supervision and providing technical guidance for combustion
engine drivetrain repairs, providing support for escalation cases, assisting with special tool usage instruction, conducting
virtual support sessions, and supporting the parts team with technical requests.
• Classic Technical Competence Lead PME incl. repair supervision of markets for classic vehicles (356-997, including super
sports cars like the Carrera GT). This includes guiding repair decisions, managing market expertise buildup, promoting
certified Classic Partners, and supporting restoration programs, including competitions.
• Monitor product quality across PME markets, coordinating with PAG Corporate Quality for technical solutions and failure
elimination. Lead quality steering during new model launches, coordinating with Porsche AG representatives. Escalate
"Fast Track" cases to PAG for production issues. Develop an intelligent monitoring methodology for preventive repairs.
Conduct monthly Quality-call sessions with all markets to address known issues and improve market development.
• Technical repair Expert providing market guidance (onsite in markets) incl. on-the-job training in all markets, covering ICE
vehicles, Classic vehicles and serving as backup for HV Expert for HV vehicles.
• Support Porsche AG and PME legal and product liability departments with onsite investigations, including technical
evaluation, root cause finding, and cybersecurity investigations. Create technical reports for reference in legal, authority,
and cybersecurity investigations.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
• Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Competence, R&D study programs or other relevant field of study.
• Technical Project management expertise or team leading competence in multi-cultural environments.
• >10 years of technical experience in automotive industry/retail organization, preferred Porsche dealer organization or Porsche as
manufacturer: Technical competence functions / R&D, positions in Electric or Mechatronic field, High Voltage Expert.
• MS Office skills, Porsche systems, Quality Management and project management systems.
• High Technical Qualification as basic requirement (Gold Level) / After Sales related certifications, Classic Car
knowledge/certificates.
• English – German, Arabic, French an advantage.
