The Boeing Company is seeking a collaborative, results-oriented Financial Analyst (Experienced or Senior) for the Commercial Crew program who will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and has exceptional problem-solving skills to join the team at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This high performing financial analyst will support the Program located at NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Commercial Crew is part of the Boeing Exploration Systems (BES) portfolio within the Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS).

The Commercial Crew program maintains CST-100 Starliner spacecraft and operates a fully integrated transport service for astronauts to and from low earth orbit destinations as a NASA contract.  The candidate will be responsible for financial performance reporting and analysis in support of a $4B+ contract including coordination with multiple functions and presentations to Senior Leadership as a business unit integrator assigned to the program.

Position Responsibilities:

Experienced (Level 3)

  • Develops resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools
  • Compiles data from multiple sources and develops performance reports
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends

Senior (Level 4)

  • Initiates assignments and leads integration and analysis of financial forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for the program
  • Leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management
  • Develops and analyzes business cases to inform decisions by management and enable program performance
  • Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause and recommend solutions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, or Financial Planning
  • 5+ years of experience with financial forecasting
  • 5+ years of experience performing financial analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or Estimates at Completion (EAC)
  • 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)
  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • 3+ years of experience with PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and presentations
  • 3+ years of experience presenting and communicating financial data to finance and non-finance internal customers
  • 3+ years of experience driving and delivering business results
  • Proactive self-starter who possesses a positive work attitude and collaborates effectively to build strong partnerships with key stakeholders

Typical Education/Experience: 
Experienced (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Senior (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $64,600 - $76,000

Summary pay range for Senior (Level 4): $79,050 – $93,000
