Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis.

The Role

Embark on a visionary journey with GM's Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College (AMEC), where your leadership will upskill and empower the workforce of the future. In this strategic role, you will define the Bill of Training for all manufacturing electrical employees to prepare to build GM’s customers world-class EVs and Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs). AMEC is rapidly expanding to a larger, global audience to keep up with aggressively accelerated EV launches. This role will be critical to readying GM’s workforce to increase customer confidence in every vehicle produced. AMEC training consists of several components on various fronts.  This role exists to assure that all areas are working effectively and collaboratively to provide our AMEC learners, everywhere, with an excellent learning experience. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the Automotive Manufacturing Electrical College (AMEC) team to provide our manufacturing teams with any training they might need to be successful in delivering our customers' excellent electrical performance.
  • Oversee development of engaging technical and leadership curriculum to upskill for new technologies and execute successful program launches. Prioritize training courses and materials to best utilize resources.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, encouraging the sharing of future-oriented lessons learned, best practices, and vehicle insights across assembly plant teams.
  • Establish training best practice sharing processes for global regions to utilize AMEC materials
  • Develop a long-term vision for global expansion
  • Evaluate processes and procedures within AMEC and manufacturing electrical

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • 7+ years of experience related to manufacturing processes, project management, and/or employee training
  • Demonstrated instructional skills delivering technical and non-technical material in an engaging manner
  • Proven ability to articulate visionary concepts effectively and communicate professionally and concisely to all levels of leadership
  • Strong passion in people development
  • Demonstrated understanding of technical and non-technical training
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Thorough knowledge of Manufacturing and business processes
  • Master’s degree in a technical or managerial discipline
