Position Responsibilities
Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) / Cybersecurity, Training and Services (CTS) Mission Area/ Cyber Defense and Offense EXperts (CODEX) Digital Technology (CODEX DT) is seeking talented DevOps engineers to assist our team with operating, developing, and improving a Network and Server/Application infrastructure environment within AWS GovCloud. We are seeking DevOps engineers with experience working in an agile and fast past environment working with many different applications. Experience with using AWS GovCloud directly is a plus, but AWS experience is sufficient.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Use and develop scripts using Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Python and CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins, and Ansible Tower to provision and configure servers, services, applications, and security
Setup and maintain applications in AWS GovCloud, utilizing Development and Production environments
Setup and maintain local applications on VMware ESX servers, utilizing connectivity to AWS applications
Follow best practices for disaster recovery/business continuity in server, network, and security design
Manage virtual Linux and Windows Servers, following best practicing for logging, monitoring, and system maintenance
Provide expertise for IT Operational management of security monitoring and compliance/auditing
Required Skills and Experiences
6+ Years in IT Operations and either IT Development or IT Security
Must be a U.S Citizen
Familiar with AWS services and/or running services within VMware ESX virtual machines
Familiarity with automation solutions to manage and deploy servers and applications
Familiarity with source code management of all automation code
Familiar with Linux/Windows Systems Administration
Working knowledge of general networking concepts such as Load Balancers, DNS, SSL, Firewalls
Desired Skills and Experiences
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience developing automated solutions utilizing Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, and Python
General Networking experience TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DHCP
Working experience in an Agile/DevOps environment
Experience using a CI/CD pipeline for delivery of services/applications
Experience within AWS GovCloud or Raytheon DevCloud
Professional Certifications such as: AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Linux+, Security+, CCNA
Experience working with containerized applications using Docker and/or Kubernetes
Required Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field; OR 8 additional years of Engineering, Computer or Information Science applicable professional experience in lieu of degree.
Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project
management. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.
Typically requires:
A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Engineering/Other Technical Positions:
Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
